Police arrested former Mymensingh-11 (Bhaluka) lawmaker Kazim Uddin Ahmed Dhanu early today from the Aftab Nagar area of the capital.
He was detained around 3:05 am by Jatrabari Police based on intelligence input, confirmed Deputy Commissioner of DB Muhammad Talebur Rahman.
Kazim was arrested in connection with a murder case filed with Jatrabari Police Station on August 26, 2024.
He is also accused in four other cases linked to killings and attacks during the anti-discrimination movement.
