BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has urged politicians and government officials to play a responsible role as the country is passing very challenging periods.

He made the call during an Iftar gathering organized by BNP in honor of prominent citizens and professionals at the Ladies Club in Dhaka on Friday (March 21) afternoon.

Fakhrul said that electoral reforms must be implemented before holding elections and stated that a quick election is necessary to resolve the political crisis.

He said that reforms cannot be achieved through unrealistic ideas or emotions and confirmed that BNP is reviewing the government’s proposed reforms.

Fakhrul also underscored that BNP’s 31-point reform proposal could bring significant changes to the country.
