BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has urged the international community to take immediate action to halt the ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement sent to the media today, Fakhrul condemned the brutal killings of Palestinian people, including children, in recent Israeli airstrikes.
He expressed deep concern over the escalation of violence, which he described as a "slaughterhouse" in Gaza, where over a thousand Palestinians have been killed, including women and infants.
Fakhrul said that these attacks, even during the holy month of Ramadan, reflect an inhumane level of cruelty, violating international norms.
Fakhrul also criticized Israel's continued aggression, which he called an illegal and heinous crime against humanity.
He said the situation in Palestine as a "terrible place of death," calling it part of a well-planned effort to annihilate the Palestinian nation.
The BNP leader urged the international community to be more vocal and take urgent steps to stop the bloodshed, ensure peace, and protect the lives and property of the Palestinian people.
