A Dhaka court today imposed a travel ban on seven people, including ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her sister Sheikha Rehana, and her family members over corruption allegations.
The ban also affects Sheikh Rehana's children, Tulip Rizwana Siddiq, Azmina Siddiq Rupanti, and Radwan Mujib Siddiq.
Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a petition of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
The ACC is investigating graft allegations involving Tk 59,000 crore against the accused, and the court's decision aims to ensure a proper investigation.
