Nahid Islam, National Citizen Party (NCP) convener said his party’s main focus at this time is to expand the organizational activities across grassroots.

He said, “We will soon fulfill the conditions to get registration and we will begin with drafting the party’s constitution within this month.”

Nahid made the remarks on Tuesday (March 4) after paying tribute at the National Memorial in Savar. 

He said a new Bangladesh cannot be built with the existing constitution and governance structure.

At this time Nahid called for a complete transformation of the governance system and constitutional framework to establish a new Bangladesh based on democracy, justice, and equality.

NCP aims to build a new Bangladesh while upholding the aspirations of 1947, 1971, and 2024, he said.
