A total of 1,657 people have been arrested across the country in the last 24 hours as part of ongoing operations, including the special drive ‘Operation Devil Hunt.’

According to AIG (Media and PR) of Police Headquarters, Inamul Haque Sagar, 743 people were arrested under ‘Operation Devil Hunt’ alone. The arrests were made from Wednesday to Thursday.

During the operation, police also recovered a shooter gun, a cartridge, and two knives, he added.

On February 8, the government announced to start Operation Devil Hunt across Bangladesh.
