The interim government has formed a “National Unity Commission” to review and implement state reform proposals from six reform commissions after consulting political parties and other relevant groups.
According to a government notification issued on Wednesday, the seven-member commission, headed by Chief Adviser Prof. Muhammad Yunus, will operate for six months starting Saturday.
Its primary objective is to build national consensus on expert recommendations aimed at addressing flaws and irregularities in the country's electoral system, police force, judiciary, public administration, anti-corruption measures, and constitution.
