Three suspicious bomb-like objects were discovered in front of Ananda Cinema Hall in the Farmgate area of the capital. 

The Bomb Disposal Unit of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrived at the scene to assess the situation.

The discovery was reported to the national emergency service number 999 around noon on Saturday (February 8). 

Upon receiving the alert, officers from the Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station quickly responded and secured the area.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station, Mohammad Golam Azam, confirmed the matter around 1:45 pm.

According to him, three bomb-like objects were found near the cinema. The Bomb Disposal Unit is currently working to ensure the safety of the area, he added.
