DHAKA:  An earthquake of magnitude 7.6 hit the Caribbean Sea off the coast of Honduras and Caribbean islands, with no reports of immediate casualties or damage, reports USA Today.   

The depth of the quake was roughly 323 miles (519 km).  The quake rocked at 10.52pm local time on Tuesday (January 9).

Initially, a tsunami warning was given, but later it was cancelled by US Tsunami Center.
