DHAKA: At least 27 people died and more than a dozen injured after a bus fell into a river in Sawai Madhopur area of India’s Rajasthan Saturday (December 23), reports PTI.
All the injured people were rescued and admitted to the hospitals for treatment.
The driver reportedly lost control over the vehicle due to which the bus skidded off the bridge into the Banas river. The identities of the deceased have not been ascertained immediately. Police conducted rescue operation.
Earlier in March 2010, at least 26 people including 23 students were killed when a bus fell into the Morel river in the same area.
