FROM AHMADABAD, GUJARAT: Members of Bangladesh Youth delegation has recently visited an artistic and innovative water storage or stepwell in Gujarat. The well, commonly known as Adalaj Stepwell, is five stories deep from surface.
Even though this artificial pond was built based on natural sources for storing water in a dried out weather like Gujarat, but it has a religious significance as well.
This well is a bystander or observer of a five hundred years old civilization.
While the delegation was inspecting the old historic well curiously, the youth wing president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Harsh Sanghavi suddenly appeared at the time.
He greeted the Bangladeshi youths with a warm welcome in his constituency. After exchanging greetings, the 27 years old young leader who was elected with record number votes faced journalists.
In a query of Banglanews on tourism of Gujarat, he said that Gujarat is one of the best places in India for tourism today.
Incumbent Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, was once the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He has taken many steps to promote tourism in there.
The improvement initially started by Modi was later carried on by others. Gujarat has changed a lot in 14 years from 2002 to 2016.
On the issue of the state’s security, he said that anyone can wander around outside of home in Gujarat at 2:00am without any trouble of security.
It is one of the safest places in India now. Even women can travel freely at night without any risk of violence.
Mentioning security as one of the key features of Gujarat, Harsh Sanghavi said that the riots happened in 2002 was just an isolated incident. Such incident took place in many places of the world previously.
He believes that the people of Gujarat now have retained peace by their unity.
“Gujarat is very strict in its application of law enforcement. But law and order can only be ensured by the compliances of common people.”
In another query on Bangladesh-India diplomatic relationship, he said, “As neighboring countries, we need to be updated in our relationship. We will be able to lead the world if we are friendly to each other. We can sort out any difficulties if we agree to sit together.”
Mentioning Narendra Modi’s Startup India program, he said that it helps the young generation of India to move forward.
