At least 12 people were killed in a fire that broke out at a garment factory in Ghaziabad’s Shaheed Nagar area of Uttar Pradesh province in India early Friday (November 11).

An official said the cause of the fire was not immediately known, reports Hindustan times. 

The fire was started at a denim factory in Sahibabad and the factory workers were locked inside, the official added.

He also said the injured were rushed to a private hospital nearby.
