DHAKA: An explosion has hit a British embassy vehicle in the Afghan capital, Kabul, causing some injuries.

An embassy spokesman says, reports the BBC.

The blast was heard across eastern parts of the city on Thursday morning. It is not clear whether the embassy vehicle was the target of the attack

Some reports say a suicide bomber on a motorcycle targeted a foreign convoy.

The Taliban have stepped up attacks as most foreign combat troops prepare to leave Afghanistan next month.
