Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip have claimed the lives of at least 42 more Palestinians, pushing the total death toll since October 2023 to 50,399, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry on Tuesday.

In the past 24 hours alone, 183 more people have been injured and taken to hospitals, bringing the total number of wounded to 114,583.

The ministry also warned that many victims remain trapped under debris and on the streets, as rescue efforts continue to be hampered.

Despite a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement reached in January, Israeli forces launched a fresh wave of air raids on Gaza on March 18, killing 1,042 people and injuring more than 2,500.

Meanwhile, legal pressure on Israel has intensified. In November, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant over alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Additionally, Israel is currently facing a genocide case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) over its ongoing military campaign in the enclave.

With the humanitarian crisis worsening and casualties mounting, the situation in Gaza remains dire as international scrutiny continues to grow.
