Bangladesh recorded one more dengue death in the past 24 hours till Tuesday morning, raising this year’s death toll to 43, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
During this time, 386 new dengue patients were hospitalised across the country, pushing the total caseload to 10,682 so far this year.
Of the new cases, 163 were reported in Barishal division (outside the city corporation), 19 in Chattogram, 16 in Khulna, eight in Mymensingh, 39 in Rajshahi, and 73 in Dhaka division (outside the city corporation).
In Dhaka city, 30 cases were reported under Dhaka North City Corporation and 38 under Dhaka South City Corporation.

In 2023, Bangladesh recorded its highest ever dengue deaths at 1,705, with over 321,000 cases reported.
