Nine officials of the National University have been sent on mandatory retirement.

The information was shared through a press release from the National University on Wednesday (April 23) afternoon.

The officials are Deputy Registrars Md Shah Alam Dhaly, Md Mohsin Iqbal, Premananda Shil, Mohammad Shamim Alam Mridha, Jinnat Ara, Amit Kumar Das, Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman, Md Matiur Rahman Molla, and Assistant Registrar AKM Badarul Alam.

According to the release, the decision was made during the 268th meeting of the university’s syndicate held on Tuesday (April 22) evening at the Dhaka city office in Dhanmondi. The decision to retire these officials after 25 years of service was finalized during the meeting.

The university's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. ASM Amanullah, presided over the session.
