The authorities of Dhaka University have formed a five-member committee to investigate any irregularities, corruption, or nepotism in the recruitment of teachers from 2009 to 2024.

The committee, led by Dr. Tajmeri S. A. Islam, a retired professor of the Chemistry Department and Syndicate member, will look into the hiring and promotion processes during this period.

Other members of the committee include Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) of Dhaka University, Dr. Aka Firoz Ahmed, retired professor of the Public Administration Department and Syndicate member, the current Dean of the Faculty of Law, and the current Registrar, who will act as the committee's secretary.

The committee has the authority to add up to three more members if needed.
