Mohammed Amirul Haque, Managing Director of Premier Cement Mills PLC, has been elected President of the Bangladesh Cement Manufacturers Association (BCMA) for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 terms.
He succeeds outgoing president Alamgir Kabir.
Amirul Haque is widely regarded as one of the country’s leading industrial entrepreneurs, with nearly four decades of contributions to Bangladesh’s trade and manufacturing sectors.
He is the founding Managing Director of Seacom Group and Premier Cement Mills PLC. Over the years, he has played an active role in developing major industrial areas, including petrochemicals, shipping, seed processing, edible oil refining, flour milling, shrimp hatcheries, bag and sack production, and real estate.
In addition to his business leadership, Haque has served as a director of the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI).
Amirul Haque is one of the country's prominent industrial entrepreneurs and also serves as the president of the LPG Operators Association of Bangladesh (LOAB).
He has been recognised multiple times by the Government of Bangladesh as a Commercially Important Person (CIP) for his contributions to business, trade, and socioeconomic development.
Amirul Haque earned his bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Chittagong and later completed postgraduate studies in England.
Industry observers note that as a prominent industrial figure, he has frequently provided guidance on sustainable economic policies through various print and electronic media outlets.
He is also known for encouraging the next generation to take on new challenges and contribute to building a resilient national economy.
Beyond his business pursuits, Amirul Haque is active in social welfare and community initiatives, which he considers a core part of his personal mission.
